Job summary

Right At School in Havertown, PA seeks an Educator to join our before/after school program. You will organize daily activities, lead curriculum and fitness, and ensure a safe, engaging environment that aligns with our mission to inspire learning.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year working with children, the ability to lift 25 lbs, and a commitment to teamwork and healthy living. Training includes safety protocols and positive guidance. Pay $15–$18 per hour.

Qualifications

• First Aid and CPR in person
• Cleared tuberculosis test
• 18+ years of age
• HS Diploma / GED with 30 college credits in early childhood ed, child dev, special ed, elementary ed, or the human services field
• OR HS Diploma / GED with 600+ hours of secondary training
• OR HS Diploma / GED, 15 credit hours in early childhood ed, child dev, special ed, elementary ed, or the human services field + 1 year of experience
• OR ArHS Diploma / GED + 2 years experience

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: prepare activities and curriculum aligned with objectives, lead structured daily fitness and curriculum.
• Leading by Example: maintain a safe and nurturing environment while meeting program goals with positive guidance.
• Prioritize Safety and Joy: monitor environment, address hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance and incidents.
• Communication: effective communication with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Education

HS Diploma / GED + 30 college credits in early childhood ed, child dev, special ed, elementary ed, or the human services field
