Job summary

Right At School in Scotch Plains, NJ is seeking an energetic Educator to support before- and after-school programs that blend learning with engaging activities for children.

You will lead daily activities, maintain a safe, nurturing environment, and communicate with families and school staff to inspire a love of learning.

Shifts run Monday–Friday with morning and afternoon blocks, up to 29.17 hours per week, and pay rates of $16.00–$18.00 per hour based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift 25lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: review goals, updates, and progress with the team.
• Organize and lead structured daily activities aligned with objectives.
• Lead by example with safe, nurturing classroom management.
• Prioritize safety and joy by monitoring environment and incidents.
• Communicate effectively with children, families, staff, and school personnel.
