Job summary

Right At School in California is seeking an educator for our Monday–Friday after-school program, 2:00 pm–5:30 pm with Wednesday early start 1:00 pm–5:30 pm. Pay ranges from $21 to $24 per hour, based on education and experience, with bonus opportunities.

You will create engaging activities, ensure safety, and foster a love of learning in collaboration with families and school staff. Ideal candidates have strong customer service, enjoy teamwork, and at least 1 year of experience with children

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills
• Works well in a team environment
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age preferred
• Ability to lift 25lbs
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability
• Organize and facilitate daily activities: prepare activities and curriculum aligned with program objectives
• Lead structured daily fitness, activities and curriculum that are educational and enjoyable
• Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, modeling positive guidance and classroom management
• Prioritize safety, address hazards, and document attendance and incidents
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel
