Job summary

Right At School is seeking an Educator to join our before/after school programs in the Livermore area. You will prepare activities, supervise children, and deliver engaging, safe, age-appropriate adventures aligned with program goals.

The role requires 1 year of experience with children, ability to lift 25 lbs, and a schedule Monday through Friday with morning or afternoon shifts. Starting pay is $20-$23 per hour, with comprehensive benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age preferred.
• Ability to lift 25lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and facilitate daily activities: prepare activities and curriculum aligned with program objectives; lead daily fitness and curriculum for all ages.
• Leading by example: maintain a safe and nurturing environment, guiding behavior and classroom management.
• Prioritize safety and joy: monitor environment, address hazards, document attendance and incidents.
• Communication: effectively communicate with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
