Sticky Fingers Cooking is seeking a part-time After School Children's Cooking Instructor in the Chicago area. Classes are hour-long and typically occur after school, with one class per day as schedules allow.

Starting wage is $60.00 per class plus food reimbursement, with paid training and support provided. Responsibilities include leading fun, age-appropriate cooking classes for kids 3–12, preparing materials, and collaborating with the team to deliver engaging curricula.

Qualifications

• Availability at least 2 days a week to teach (Mon–Fri 2–5pm; most classes 3:00–4:30pm).
• Commitment to teaching weekly for 6–12 weeks.
• Experience working with groups of kids ages 3–12.
• Ability to manage and engage 8–14 children with diverse backgrounds.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Punctual and reliable.
• No professional cooking experience required.
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification can obtain before teaching.

Responsibilities

• Lead hour-long healthy and engaging cooking enrichment classes on-site at locations in the area.
• Create recipes and teach children about new ingredients and healthy foods from around the world.
• Review weekly class curricula and shop for fresh ingredients as needed.
• Teach basic kitchen skills: washing, cutting, grating, stirring, measuring, nutrition.
• Provide direction and encouragement to foster hands-on, fun learning.

Education
