Job summary

Sticky Fingers Cooking Chicagoland is seeking a part-time After School Children's Cooking Instructor to cultivate COOLinary curiosity in kids. The role involves leading hour-long after-school classes at various sites, interacting with children ages 3-12, and bringing our kid-tested recipes to life.

You will teach engaging, hands-on cooking activities 2–5pm, typically 1 class per day, with paid training and ongoing support. ServSafe certification is preferred or can be obtained before teaching.

Qualifications

• Availability at least 2 days a week (2-5pm window)
• Commitment to weekly teaching for 6-12 weeks
• Experience working with groups of kids of varying ages
• Ability to manage and engage 8-14 children
• Access to reliable transportation
• Timely communication with team
• Punctual and reliable
• No professional cooking experience required
• ServSafe certification optional or can be obtained before teaching

Responsibilities

• Lead hour-long after-school cooking classes at on-site locations
• Create and teach creative recipes, review curricula, and prepare ingredients
• Teach basic kitchen skills (washing, cutting, measuring), and discuss nutrition
• Foster a fun, safe learning environment and encourage healthy eating habits
