Associated Recreation Council (ARC) seeks a School-Age Care Counselor to supervise and engage children ages 5-12 after school at the Van Asselt Community Center in Seattle. You will implement developmentally appropriate activities, ensure safety, and foster an inclusive, engaging environment.

This part-time, non-exempt role offers hours Monday–Friday after school, with potential summer work. Starting pay is $22.00 per hour, up to $25.30 with experience, plus benefits and staff support through

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or other secondary education.
• MMR vaccination, TB testing, MERIT Background Check and WA Food Worker Card required after hire.

Responsabilités

• Assists and leads in daily curriculum activities for children ages 5–12.
• Models appropriate behavior and supports social and emotional growth.
• Maintains a staff-to-child ratio of 1:10 where possible for safety and accountability.
• Collaborates with School-Age Care staff and receives guidance from the ARC Director.
