Associated Recreation Council (ARC) in Seattle is seeking a School-Age Care Lead Counselor for part-time, after-school programs serving children ages 5-12 at John Rogers Elementary School and other North Seattle location sites.

You will supervise a classroom, implement developmentally appropriate activities, and help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging after-school environment while coordinating with ARC staff and the Seattle Parks and Recreation partnership.

Formación

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or other secondary education.
• Must have a year of prior experience in school-age childcare.
• DCYF background checks and TB testing and related requirements after hire.

Responsabilidades

• Guides and supports a classroom of children ages 5-12 by providing active supervision and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Models appropriate behavior and supports social and emotional growth.
• Helps ensure a staff-to-child ratio of 1:10 is maintained to ensure safety and accountability.
• Collaborates with ARC School-Age Care staff and receives guidance from the ARC School-Age Care Director.
• Directly supports the School-Age Care Director in more advanced daily operations.
