Job summary

American Family Care is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to work within our Harrisburg VA program on a two-day-per-week schedule at a franchise location. The APP will collaborate with other providers to ensure efficient patient flow and high patient satisfaction, within the scope of training and the governing board’s agreement.

The role requires PA or NP licensure in the state, board certification, DEA registration, and ability to manage diverse patient needs, including emergency

Qualifications

• Board certification in ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA, with 1 year ER/UC experience preferred.
• Current PA or NP licensure, DEA number, and state CDS as required.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Excellent communicator with staff, patients and family.
• Professional appearance and attitude.

Responsibilities

• Take comprehensive health histories and review records, order appropriate tests.
• Formulate diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals.
• Initiate emergency measures in critical situations (cardiac arrest, shock, etc.).
• Interpret data to determine patient status and management.
• Provide guidelines on health care and promotion to patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
