Job summary

American Family Care Camp Hill seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to care for patients two days a week at our Harrisburg VA program, working within the scope of training and our agreement. The APP will collaborate with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and satisfaction.

Responsibilities include detailed histories, assessments, diagnoses, and emergency stabilization when needed. The specific duties may vary between franchises, reflecting local needs.

Qualifications

• Board certification (ANCC/AANP/NCCPA) and active state licensure for PA/NP.
• 1 year ER/UC experience preferred.
• Excellent communication with staff, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Take detailed health histories and review records, order appropriate tests.
• Develop medical assessments, diagnoses and referrals as needed.
• Institute emergency measures and stabilization when required (e.g., cardiac arrest, shock).
• Interpret patient data to determine status and treatment.
• Educate patients and families on health care and health promotion.
• Other duties as assigned.
