Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary is seeking an Assistant to the Center for Biblical Counseling to support clerical tasks and counseling-related processes. The role reports to the Director of the Center for Biblical Counseling and is based in an academic setting.

The position requires handling applications, coordinating hours for observation and supervision, and assisting with church partnerships while providing biblical counseling as needed.

Qualifications

• Christian with high integrity, pursuing a relationship with God.
• Completed the ACBC Fundamentals Training.
• Observed at least 10 hours of biblical counseling.
• Able to multi-task and prioritize for the benefit of the department.
• Able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to general correspondence in a professional and timely manner.
• Receive and process applications for biblical counseling under the direction of directors.
• Receive and process applications for counseling observation and supervision hours under the direction of the directors.
• Receive and process requests for the Fundamentals Certificate of Completion.
• Proactively assist directors with administrative tasks.
• Assist the directors with facilitating local church partnerships to promote biblical counseling ministry.
• Provide biblical counseling as needed.
