Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member in Business Operations, Applications and Technology (BOAT) to teach on a part-time basis. Responsibilities include delivering classes per syllabi, using technology to enhance instruction, and maintaining accurate records; this role is an as-needed, per-semester appointment.

Candidates must meet the college's program standards for Business Operations, with acceptable routes including master's or bachelor’s degrees

Qualifications

• Possesses an earned master’s or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution in a business or computer-related discipline, as appropriate to the program; or
• Possesses a related or out-of-field master’s degree with documented 18 post-secondary hours in business or computer-related discipline; or
• Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master’s degree with two or more specified qualifications; or
• Possesses an earned bachelor’s degree with two or more specified qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
• Utilize technology to enhance instructional methods.
• Maintain accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
• Engage with students regularly to provide a positive learning experience.
• Promote inclusive teaching reflecting diverse backgrounds.

Education

Master's degree or higher in business or computer-related discipline

Bachelor's degree with two years in-field experience

Related master’s degree with two of listed criteria

Earned bachelor’s with two of listed criteria
