Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist in Wisconsin for a rural hospital setting. The schedule requires 20 hours per week with a 3-day pattern and weekend coverage including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts with weekend premiums.

There is a $10,000 sign-on bonus for part-time new hires; Friday–Sunday work adds $11 per hour. A Wisconsin PT license and BLS certification within 6 months are required; no prior experience is necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Wisconsin or eligible for licensure.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Interpret referrals and complete musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and/or integumentary evaluations.
• Establish and implement a plan of care based on evaluation results and functional goals.
• Monitor outcomes and adjust the treatment plan; provide status updates to physicians.
• Plan for and complete patient discharge including home programs and education.
• Document care per policy, including progress notes, billing, and scheduling.
• Maintain clean, organized treatment areas and proper equipment handling.
• Demonstrate use of modalities and exercise equipment as per protocol.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and coverage planning.
• Pursue professional growth and orient new staff.
• Provide age-appropriate care across the life span.
