Job summary

Merriam Gardens Healthcare & Rehabilitation is seeking a Part-Time Activity Aide to support residents with engaging activities and social interaction. The role focuses on planning and leading recreational events, games, and crafts to promote well-being and community living.

You will build relationships with residents, families and staff, assist with daily activities, and report any changes in health or behavior.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience with seniors or in healthcare preferred.
• Ability to work variable shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement activities for residents (games, arts and crafts, recreation).
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents, staff, and families to create a warm environment.
• Monitor and report changes related to resident behavior or physical well-being.
• Collaborate with Activities Director to tailor activity programs to residents' diverse needs.
