Job summary

Distinctive Living is seeking a Part-Time Activities Assistant for Thursdays and Fridays at The Fairways in Naples, FL. You will coordinate resident activities, assess preferences, and liaise with department heads to ensure a vibrant community life.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; an associate/bachelor’s in a related field is preferred. Leadership experience and 3+ years in assisted living are valued. Valid driver’s license and MS Word/Excel skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum three years’ experience in assisted living or memory care preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Experience with Word and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess resident interest and activity needs at move-in.
• Encourage resident participation while respecting preferences and choices.
• Assist with decorating common areas and preparing for events, holidays, birthdays, parties, and other celebrations.
• Prepare the activity room before activities and clean the area afterwards.
• Monitor residents during activities and communicate needs to the supervisor.
• Assist with group and one-on-one activities.
• Foster teamwork with co-workers and show initiative to help others.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
