Job summary

Distinctive Living in Naples, FL, is seeking a part-time Activities Assistant for Thursdays and Fridays. You will coordinate resident activities, assess preferences, and communicate with department heads to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires engagement in planning events, coordinating both internal and external activities, and maintaining a vibrant activity calendar for residents. A high school diploma is required, with higher education and prior supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred in Social Service, Business, or related field.
• Prior management/supervisory experience.
• Minimum of three years' experience in assisted living or memory care preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assess resident interest and activity needs at move-in.
• Encourage resident participation while respecting preferences.
• Decorate common areas and prepare for events and celebrations.
• Prepare activity room and tidy after activities.
• Monitor residents during activities and communicate needs to supervisor.
• Assist with group and one-on-one activities.
• Foster teamwork and take initiative to support others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
