Qualifications

• Position requires an AAS in Accounting Technology or equivalent.
• Strong subject matter knowledge in accounting.
• Skills interacting with diverse students with varying abilities, learning styles, and personalities.
• Must be able to understand the accounting subjects taught sufficiently to help and support the instructional programs.
• Requires knowledge of Windows, Excel, and QuickBooks.
• Must be able to work respectfully with individuals of all cultures, backgrounds, perspectives, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized lab support for a variety of accounting courses, both on campus and virtually.
• Assists students in accomplishing assigned homework, preparing for exams, and completing accounting projects.
• Stays familiar with standard assignments and course requirements; stays in contact with faculty throughout the term.
• Encourages and promotes a supportive learning environment; promotes student’s self-reliance and effective study skills.
• May provide assistance with use of relevant technology such as spreadsheets and other computer applications within their area of proficiency.
