Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must enroll in Oregon’s Central Background Registry and maintain active status.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification for adults, children, and infants or acquire within 90 days.
• Current Oregon Food Handler Card or acquire within 30 days of hire.
• Evidence of completion of Safety Set as required by Oregon rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff with duties in preschool classrooms following licensing regulations and center policies.
• Maintain a safe, healthy classroom environment; assist with ratio coverage during breaks and planning time.
• Support with toileting, diaper changes, and self-help skills development.
• Help implement daily activities (meals, story time, free choice) as directed by the Preschool Teacher.
• Assist with classroom maintenance, cleaning, and organization; communicate with staff and parents.
