Job summary

Lovering Volvo Cars Meredith is seeking a Part-Time Accounting Clerk to support our busy accounting office. This role handles AP/AR, cash reconciliations, and month-end tasks in a friendly, team-oriented dealership.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, experience in accounting, and proficiency with Excel and common accounting software. Flexible 20–25 hours weekly with competitive hourly pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• Prior accounting or bookkeeping experience required; automotive dealership experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, Dealertrack, or similar preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and post accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Reconcile daily cash, checks, and credit card payments.
• Assist with month-end closing and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Provide administrative support to the Controller and the office team.
