Job summary

Hastings College is seeking a part-time Student Access Specialist to lead accessibility efforts for international students and coordinate disability accommodations. The role combines federal compliance management with direct student advocacy and collaboration with faculty and staff.

The position offers an hourly schedule with up to 20 hours per week, allowing flexible calendar control while supporting a welcoming campus environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in accessibility services or student support.
• Strong knowledge of ADA, Section 504, and accommodations best practices.
• Mastery of F-1 visa status regulations, SEVIS, and DHS reporting requirements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and implement accommodation plans for students with disabilities.
• Advise faculty and staff on universal design and accessibility standards.
• Support students in communicating needs and advocating for themselves.
• Participate in committees related to ADA compliance and student success.
• Hire and supervise note-takers and student workers.
• Serve as PDSO and manage SEVIS, I-20s, and I-17 certification.
