Allied Universal in Northampton, PA is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Queue Management to provide reliable hours at an assigned site, with flexibility to pick up additional shifts. Pay rate is $18.03 per hour.

The role emphasizes access-control and badge management, customer service experience, and comfort with computers or tablets, with a six-month anchor shift and a schedule that can scale toward 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors via access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Control vehicle, driver, and delivery access in accordance with facility procedures, directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
