Job summary

Allied Universal in Northampton, PA is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Portal Operations to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site. You will support access control, badge management, and customer service for employees and visitors.

This role offers a fixed shift with opportunities to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, increasing earnings. Pay rate is $18.03 per hour. Candidates must be 18+ and pass background checks; licensing may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred (issuing, tracking, and managing badges).
• Customer service experience preferred with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet for daily tasks and software applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and emergency responses when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points; verify identification, visitor authorization, and delivery/pickup credentials per site procedures.
• Control access to restricted areas, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and communicate access concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents calmly, document observations, and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
