Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer – Access Control in Kaunakakai, HI to manage entry points, verify credentials, and provide professional customer service within a logistics and distribution setting.

The position emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a strong sense of integrity. Eligible candidates must meet minimum requirements, pass background checks and a drug screen, and may hold a Guard Card/License. Excellent schedule flexibility is available.

Qualifications

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and logs, and direct authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Deter unauthorized entry by observing traffic, reporting unusual activity, and following escalation procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeters.
