Job summary

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted as per federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws; may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points for the retail location, verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining accurate access logs.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, loading areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, delivery drivers, vendors, and visitors while reporting security-related observations and incidents to appropriate personnel.
