Job summary

Allied Universal in Ridgeville, SC is seeking a Juvenile Corrections Security Officer - Entry Control for part-time shifts. You will manage entry points, verify IDs, monitor activity, and deliver courteous customer service to staff, visitors, and youth at a government juvenile services location.

This role offers flexible weekend/weekday scheduling via Claim a Shift, a $17.00 hourly pay rate, and the chance to contribute to a secure, professional environment while building experience in security

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license in the state of employment.
• Must pass tuberculosis test and MMR vaccination requirements.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, youth, and authorized personnel while performing access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identifications, maintain visitor logs, and direct individuals per policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Control access to restricted areas, document deliveries, and report suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points and surrounding areas, noting security concerns.
