Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Norfolk, VA to protect clients across multiple industries, including logistics. You will manage access, verify credentials, and maintain logs while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced marine terminal setting.

The role offers flexible shifts and a chance to grow within a leading security and facilities services company. A TSA TWIC and high school diploma are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security‑related experience.
• TSA-issued TWIC required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide site access control, verify credentials, and manage badge access.
• Monitor gates and entry points, logging vehicle, visitor, and delivery information.
• Respond to incidents and alarms, communicating with responders.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points and perimeter to deter unauthorized access.
• Deliver courteous customer service to clients and drivers.
