Job summary

Allied Universal in Bronx, NY is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Access Authorization) to safeguard clients across utilities and other sites. You will verify credentials, monitor entry points, and provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional, welcoming presence.

This part-time role offers a fixed evening schedule: Mon, Tue and Wed from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, with pay rates of $18.30–$19.30 per hour.

Qualifications

Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorized entry permissions, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct individuals to appropriate locations in accordance with site procedures.
Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, gates, facilities, and perimeter areas to identify and report unauthorized access, unusual activity, and security-related concerns.
Assist with maintaining accurate access-control records, including badge issuance, key control, and incident documentation, in accordance with client and Allied Universal procedures.
