Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part Time Security Officer in Durham, NC. You will manage access points, verify badges, and provide professional customer service at a government location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background investigation and drug screen required by policy.
• Age: at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and government personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor records, and help control entry and exit at the location.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
