Allied Universal in Dodge City, KS is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to safeguard clients in a chemical/petrochemical environment. The role emphasizes customer service, badge access control, and routine patrols while maintaining secure operations.

Driving is required, and a flexible schedule aligns with daytime shifts on Fridays and Sundays. The position offers a $15.50 per hour pay rate, with duties including monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and incident response.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by enforcing site access-control procedures and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, registrations, contractor authorizations, and delivery documentation before entry or exit.
• Maintain logs and issue/recover access badges and keys as directed.
• Respond to access-related incidents and alarms, notifying site contacts and leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, parking areas, gates, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
