Job summary

Advancing Beyond the Spectrum (ABS) seeks a part-time ABA Therapist in Abingdon, MD to provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols to children with autism in home, school, and community settings. You will collect data, assist with parent training, and support the BCBA with assessments, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in or completion of Bachelor's degree in psychology, human services, healthcare, education, or related fields preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• RBT certification, or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• BLS certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Fluency in English; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 ABA therapy in home, school, and community-based environments.
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by licensed BCBA.
• Collect data to monitor progress and effectiveness of treatment plan.
• Provide regular written and verbal progress updates on treatment goals.
• Support BCBA with family training on implementation of plans.
• Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress.
• Maintain a safe handling procedures when working with clients.
• Assist BCBA with skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments.
• Assist BCBA in preparing client materials as instructed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with treatment team including client, parents, and caregivers.
• Attend required trainings and uphold HIPAA and BACB Ethics.
