Job summary

Butterfly Effects in Virginia Beach is hiring for a part-time Child Interventionist/Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician for after-school hours (3pm–7pm). You will directly assist children with autism, implementing ABA-based plans under supervision.

This role offers 9–15 hours weekly, with 3–5 days to fit after-school schedules. RBT certification is a plus, and the company supports ongoing training and growth toward BCBA.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Passion for working with children and families.
• Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience with children is advantageous.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Able to pass a company background check.

Responsibilities

• Implement ABA-based behavior plans under BCBA supervision.
• Observe and document client progress and behavior daily.
• Support clients in acquiring communication, social, and self-care skills.
• Manage challenging behaviors with consistent application of behavioral principles.
• Communicate professionally with parents, analysts, and clients.
• Complete daily paperwork and data entry in our online system.
• Participate in ongoing training to improve skills.
