Job summary

Achieve Beyond Pediatric Therapy & Autism Services in Fairfax is seeking Part-time, hourly Behavior Therapist Interns to support ABA, speech, OT, and PT services for children with developmental needs. This paid internship helps students accrue hours toward their human services degree and gain clinical experience.

You'll have access to a paperless billing and data collection system, ongoing CE workshops, and team-building opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working with children in a supervised setting.
• Current enrollment in an undergraduate program in psychology, healthcare, human services, education, or related field.
• ABA experience preferred but not required.
• Complete 20 hours of classroom training and pass a competency exam after training.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ABA instruction according to the educational plan outlined by the BCBA.
• Participate in collaborative team meetings with BCBA and other Behavior Therapists on the case.
• Communicate frequently with family members by providing debriefs at the end of each session, as well as resources and strategies that can be implemented in the home and community to promote consistency.
• Collect daily data and organize child's program book weekly.
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families in accordance with State and Federal regulations.
