Job summary

Achieve Beyond Pediatric Therapy & Autism Services in Westfield, NJ, is hiring part-time, hourly Behavior Therapist Interns to support children with development disabilities. You will provide direct ABA instruction, work with a BCBA, and communicate progress with families in home, community, and clinic settings.

Ideal candidates are undergraduate students in psychology or related fields, with at least one year of supervised experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a passion for working with children, families, and therapists.
• At least 1 year working with children in a supervised setting.
• Current enrollment in an undergraduate program in psychology, healthcare, human services, education, or related field.
• Successful completion of 20 hour classroom training provided by Achieve Beyond and passing grade on competency exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ABA instruction according to the educational plan outlined by the BCBA.
• Participate in collaborative team meetings with BCBA and other therapists.
• Communicate with families, providing debriefs and home/community strategies.
• Collect daily data and organize the child’s program book weekly.
• Maintain confidentiality of information in accordance with state and federal regulations.
