Job summary

Acorn Health, a leading ABA treatment provider in Michigan, seeks Part-Time Behavior Technicians to deliver high-quality, intensive ABA interventions under BCBA supervision. You will work directly with children to increase skills, reduce challenging behaviors, and support families in implementing treatment plans.

Qualified candidates have 1–2 years of experience with children, a bachelor's degree preferred, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience working with children highly preferred (caregiver, paraprofessional, daycare, etc)
• Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, teaching, or related field preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Should enjoy working on an interdisciplinary team and collaborating with others
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Passion for helping others

Responsibilities

• Complete training necessary to provide therapy (state-specific requirements)
• Deliver 1:1 direct ABA treatment to clients to increase skills and reduce problem behaviors
• Work closely with supervising BCBA and team to ensure high quality service delivery
• Support parent and caregiver training as directed by the BCBA
• Collect data and document client records to monitor progress
• Communicate regularly with parents and supervisors to inform treatment plans
• Provide services at center, home, school, or other locations as clinically indicated
• Schedule may include driving between clients
