Job summary

Ocean Psychological Services in Oxnard, California is seeking a Part-Time Behavior Technician to deliver 1:1 ABA therapy under supervision. You’ll implement individualized treatment plans, collect data, and collaborate with a BCBA to support client growth in a caring team environment.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, experience with children, and the ability to commit 15 hours per week (3:00–8:00 PM, with weekend flexibility).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Experience working with children, help kids learn.
• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (preferred).
• Prior experience or strong understanding of ABA principles and techniques (preferred).
• Strong data collection, time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively and respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Must be able to provide a minimum of 15 hours of weekly availability between 3:00 PM 8:00 PM (with flexibility to support weekend shifts if needed).

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy based on individualized client goals and treatment plans.
• Collect, document, and analyze data during sessions to monitor client progress and guide treatment decisions.
• Attend client team meetings, mandatory quarterly staff meetings, and professional development workshops.
• Create and utilize instructional materials to support therapy goals.
• Facilitate individual and small group social skills training sessions when appropriate.
• Maintain timely communication, including checking and responding to company emails on business days.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
