Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Madison Division of Extension is seeking an Outreach Associate NE (up to 16 hours/week) serving Barron County. This role focuses on outreach, program planning for youth, and support for 4-H community clubs, with in-person work from Rice Lake, WI.

Responsibilities include promoting the 4-H Community Club program, coordinating youth activities, assisting with events, collaborating with the Youth Development Team, and handling administrative tasks including data entry

Qualifications

• Experience managing multiple tasks, timelines and schedules with quality output.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience or knowledge of Microsoft Office, Myemma, Google Suite, Canva and website management platforms.
• At least two years of relevant work or volunteer experience in youth programming.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
• Proven ability to collaborate with teams and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Communicates plans, activities and achievements to the 4-H Program Educator and partners.
• Collects, analyzes, prepares and communicates program data and resources.
• Helps design marketing materials and promotions for programs.
• Teaches culturally relevant educational programs to adults and youth.
• Implements initiatives and events serving target audiences.
• Procures and maintains course materials and supplies.
• Tracks program evaluation and uses feedback for improvement.
