The Special Education Paraprofessional is a part-time instructional support specialist in a Catholic, K-8 school setting, under Licensed Teacher direction. Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of a high school diploma; some college or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in classroom setting or comparable support role preferred.
• Technologically adept with experience in using digital tools for instructional purposes.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage tasks and workload with desired outcomes.
• Complete required training, certification, and/or credentialing as necessitated by Archdiocese of Denver, school, and/or student need.
• Compliance with Safe Environment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supports access to general education for students with disabilities, providing 1:1 services.
• Uses multisensory approaches to keep students engaged in a general education setting.
• May assist with physical care and needs of students.
• Collaborate with classroom and Special Education teachers to design/implement supports and interventions.
• Support behavioral needs of students and maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain a safe, orderly learning environment and participate in trainings.
