SUBSTITUTE - NON EMPLOYEE is seeking a Substitute Paraprofessional (SpEd Para, 1 on 1 para & ESC Para) to support classroom instruction and student success in basic academics. The role involves assisting teachers, supervising students, and participating in IEP-related activities to promote an inclusive learning environment.

The position emphasizes adapting activities, maintaining records, and responding to medical or safety needs while working under direct supervision in various school settings.

Qualifications

• Adheres to safety practices in all classrooms and common areas.
• Operates standard office equipment and relevant software as directed.
• Maintains accurate daily logs and student records with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Adapts activities and materials under supervision to reinforce classroom objectives.
• Administers immediate first aid and basic health guidance per health care professional instruction.
• Communicates with teachers, support staff, and parents about progress and IEP objectives.
• Documents daily student activities, behavior, and assignments for logs and reports.
• Models appropriate behavior and supports a safe, positive learning environment.
• Monitors students across lunch, transit, playground, classroom, and field trips.
• Supports IEP goals by providing instruction under teacher direction and adapting to mainstream settings.
• Responds to emergencies to ensure student safety.
