Job summary

The Florida Commission on Offender Review is seeking a Commission Investigator to support post-release decisions affecting inmates and ex-offenders. The role involves reviewing interviews, determining eligibility for supervision, and entering data into the Corrections Data Center.

The position requires a high school diploma, strong knowledge of the criminal justice system, and ability to work under pressure. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree are preferred; background checks are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with criminal history checks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review Conditional Release and Addiction Recovery Interviews to determine eligibility for supervision.
• Conduct quality assurance checks of inmate eligibility for supervision.
• Review requests for curfew extensions or modification of supervision conditions.
• Coordinate with Interstate Compact issues with the Department of Corrections.
• Answer inquiries regarding eligibility, case status, or docket scheduling.
