Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
  • Experience conducting interviews, field investigations, or background checks.
  • Knowledge of Georgia parole regulations and offender supervision highly desirable.
  • High school diploma/GED with three (3) years of progressively complex office or administrative experience.

Responsibilities

  • Gather comprehensive criminal case information from law enforcement agencies, courthouses, district attorney offices, and public records sources.
  • Complete detailed, accurate, and concise investigative reports that synthesize relevant case facts, mitigating and aggravating circumstances, and offender histories.
  • Proofread and quality-check all investigative reports for grammatical accuracy, completeness, and adherence to agency standards.
  • Submit completed case investigations punctually within established agency schedules and deadlines.
  • Conduct necessary interviews, field inquiries, and background verification checks as required for case processing.
