Job summary

Anakeesta, Gatlinburg, TN, is hiring Retail Associates to join Gatlinburg’s fastest growing attraction. You’ll learn product knowledge, operate the POS system, stock shelves, and assist guests with purchases in a friendly, professional manner.

Applicants should be 16 years or older, with prior retail or sales experience beneficial. The role offers hourly pay and perks such as free employee admission and discounts.

Qualifications

Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience handling cash and credit cards is helpful.
Experience stocking and displaying products is beneficial.
Experience with Point of Sales systems is desired.

Responsibilities

Learn and develop knowledge of all products in inventory.
Operate the POS system for all transactions and inventory tasks.
Stock and replenish products and maintain inventory.
Verify invoices match received items.
Provide friendly, professional service to guests.
Record transactions and assist guests with purchases.
Attend staff meetings for sales techniques.

With a Parkway store, Great Outdoors Trading Company, our award-winning theme park is seeking Retail Associates that are outgoing, knowledgeable about our products and know how to sell with a smile!

Responsibilities

Learn and develop knowledge of all products that we have in inventory.
Learn and use the Point of Sales computerized system for all transactions, inventory, ordering, reconciliation.
Stock and replenish of all products, inventory of all items.
Check invoices against orders to verify that the correct items are received.
Work in a professional manner and always make a professional presentation in both dress and actions
Handles all sales transactions through the Point of Sales system and always works with guests in a polite and professional manner.
Assist guests with purchases including recording transactions and packaging for guests.
Attending staff and sales meetings to learn new sales techniques
Clocks in and out using Point of Sales system to record actual hours worked.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

16 years of age or older
Previous sales and retail experience would be beneficial.
Experience with cash transactions and credit cards helpful.
Experience in stocking and displaying products.
Great customer/guest experience background a plus.
Knowledge of and previous experience using Point of Sales
Ability to work with other team members and develop new skills.
Able to work in all-weather conditions.
Available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements

Able to lift up to 60 lbs.; can push, pull, grasp, lift, kneel, stoop, climb, balance, and reach overhead
Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time on uneven ground
