Job summary

The Trust for Public Land (TPL) seeks a Manager 1 for Minnesota Parks and Schoolyards to lead multi-phase park and schoolyard projects across Minnesota. You’ll coordinate budgeting, design, construction, and community engagement with schools, districts, and partners to deliver high-impact green spaces aligned with TPL's mission.

You will work with a diverse team, report to the Minnesota Parks and Schoolyards Associate Director, and contribute to participatory design processes, ensuring projects

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience.
• Experience managing design, construction, or planning projects.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Clear written and oral communication with a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to work travel throughout Minnesota; reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day project management for schoolyard and park projects from engagement through completion.
• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, contracts; hire/manage consultants.
• Coordinate with schools, districts, government, and partners; ensure design participation.
• Support site stewardship, activation, and maintenance post-completion.
• Collaborate with philanthropy, marketing, and conservation finance staff to raise visibility.
