Job summary

Trust for Public Land in Minnesota seeks a Parks and Schoolyards Manager to oversee multiple park and schoolyard projects from engagement through construction. You will coordinate budgets, timelines, and consultants, while guiding participatory design with students and communities.

The role requires collaboration with schools, local government, and nonprofits; travel across Minnesota, occasional evenings/weekends, and a hybrid/remote work setup.

Qualifications

• Degree or work experience in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Urban Design/Planning, Parks and Recreation Management, or related profession.
• Experience working with youth and/or within public schools.
• Knowledge of public grant funding, procurement, and prevailing wage.
• Demonstrated ability to engage diverse community members and stakeholders.
• Ability to travel statewide and work nights/weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day project management for park/schoolyard projects from engagement to completion.
• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, contracts, and consultants.
• Lead participatory design with students and partners.
• Coordinate with schools, local government, nonprofits, and tribes.
• Support fundraising, stewardship, and program visibility.
