Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Parks & Recreation, Landscaping, Horticulture or related discipline.
• One (1) year of park or facilities management, landscaping, horticulture, forestry, or grounds maintenance experience, including one year of supervisory experience.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be substituted, but must include one year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining, and completing employee performance appraisals.
• Coordinates, assigns and reviews work and establishes work schedules; maintains standards; monitors status of work in progress; inspects completed work assignments; answers questions; gives advice and direction as needed.
• Enforces safety procedures to ensure safe operation of equipment and employee safety.
• Transports workers, equipment and materials to and from work sites.
• Provides technical assistance and instruction concerning the operation and use of equipment and materials.
• Plans, schedules and adjusts projects and work procedures to meet deadlines.
• Receives and completes work orders for group and event set-up.
• Performs related work as assigned.
