Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of full-time experience in parks and recreation administration.
• At least 5 years in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and vision to staff in department operations.
• Supervise staff, including hiring, training, evaluating, and disciplinary actions.
• Develop and enforce policies and regulations for parks and recreation.
• Oversee operations of recreation facilities and programs.
• Monitor major capital projects and budgets; ensure cost recovery.
• Manage grants processes from application to reporting.
• Develop long-range plans and ensure performance measures are met.
• Represent the department at City Council and Parks Board meetings.
