Job summary

City of Georgetown is seeking an experienced Recreation supervisor to plan, organize, and evaluate aquatics programs and facilities. You will ensure safe, high-quality aquatic services and manage staff, budgets, and resources.

Responsibilities include developing work plans, training lifeguards, coordinating CPR courses, and promoting aquatic programs within the community. A bachelor’s degree in Recreation and several years of aquatic program experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Leisure Studies or related field.
• Five years of full-time experience developing and implementing aquatic programs, with at least two in a supervisory role.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Directs development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities.
• Manages personnel, equipment, facilities and finances for the department; hiring, training, performance reviews, scheduling and discipline.
• Identifies opportunities to improve service delivery and implements improvements.
• Develops and reviews work plans for aquatics programs and monitors workflow.
• Ensures proper hiring and training of lifeguards and instructors; coordinates CPR courses.
