Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major in park management or related field.
• Extensive experience in park operations and maintenance; equivalent combinations considered.

Responsibilities

• Directs operation and maintenance of City park facilities and athletic fields.
• Plans, designs and supervises construction and renovation of Parks and Recreation areas.
• Oversees budget requests, procurement, and equipment specifications.
• Supervises staff and coordinates park maintenance, security, and safety.
• Ensures compliance with city codes and emergency management procedures.
• Maintains records of expenses, fertilization, pesticide use, and equipment.
• Coordinates with officials and the public to manage park operations.
