City of Plantation Parks Department seeks an exempt administrator to direct operation and maintenance of park facilities, plan improvements, supervise staff, and oversee construction projects. The role requires independent judgment and involvement in policy development within the parks system.

Formación

• Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major coursework in park management or a related field.
• Considerable experience in park operations and maintenance; equivalent combinations may be considered.
• Valid Florida driver's license; CPRP certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Direct the operation and maintenance of City parks, athletic fields and related outdoor facilities.
• Plan, schedule and supervise staff, and oversee park construction, maintenance and repair projects.
• Prepare departmental budget requests; monitor procurements and expenditures.
• Provide guidance to subordinates on landscape maintenance, equipment repair and safety.
• Ensure compliance with City codes, regulations, and park system security policies.
