Job summary

City of Sunny Isles Beach is seeking a Parks Maintenance Manager to lead the Parks Division, setting goals, directing daily grounds maintenance, facilities upkeep, and safety programs. You will develop plans, supervise staff, and coordinate with vendors to deliver quality public spaces including beaches, parks, and athletic facilities.

The role requires strong budgeting, procurement, and event support, plus ability to implement emergency plans and ensure compliance with health, safety, and city

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience performing similar duties in facility and/or park maintenance.
• Three (3) years of experience supervising maintenance staff.
• ICS-100: Introduction to the Incident Command System
• ICS-200: ICT for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents
• ICS-700: National Incident Management System: An Introduction

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and oversee the daily functions, and operations of the Parks division.
• Participate in the department's development of goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. Recommends and implements policies and procedures including standard operating procedures.
• Short-term and long-term planning development for maintenance and improvement of parks and facilities.
• Manages, supervises, and coordinates human resource functions such as recruitment, onboarding, training and staff manuals, employee performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
