Job summary

Sarasota County is seeking a Parks Internal Operations Division Manager to lead divisions, shape goals and manage a multi-disciplinary team. You will oversee operations, maintenance, planning and a range of capital and asset projects while coordinating with staff, contractors and partners to improve efficiency and service.

Responsibilities include budget administration, development of maintenance standards, disaster response readiness, asset tracking in Maximo, and collaboration with the PRNR

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in project management, recreation, leisure services, biology or related field
• 6 years of professional experience related to the position
• At least 4 years of supervisory experience or a Master’s degree substituting for 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Lead the Parks Internal Operations Division in development and implementation of goals
• Oversee daily operations, maintenance, planning and budgeting
• Coordinate with staff, external partners and department leadership to improve efficiency and service
